Where is the 404 bakery?
Our working bakery is at 91A Whiteladies Road, Bristol BS8 2NT. The Roam Wild × 404 cafe sits in the front of the bakery, where you can sit in and try cakes by the slice.
Are all your cakes really vegan?
Yes — 100% of what we make is plant-based. No dairy, no eggs, no animal products anywhere in the kitchen. We aim to bake in a way that's kinder to animals and the environment without ever compromising on flavour.
How far in advance should I order a celebration cake?
For celebration cakes we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance. For weddings please get in touch at least two to three months ahead.
Do you offer gluten-free options?
We have gluten-free brownies, blondies and cookies as regular postal products, and can design gluten-free tiers into most celebration and wedding cakes. Please flag any allergens on your booking form.
How do postal brownies stay fresh?
We dispatch every Wednesday via Royal Mail 1st Class in home-compostable packaging. Most orders arrive within 1–2 working days. Brownies and blondies keep for around 7 days sealed.
Can I come into the cafe without ordering online?
Absolutely — the cafe is walk-in. Layer cake slices, coffee, breakfast and light lunch are available during opening hours.
Do you deliver wholesale orders outside Bristol?
We deliver emissions-free across central Bristol and work with wholesale customers in Swindon and Weston-super-Mare on bespoke schedules. Get in touch about your venue.
Can I request a completely bespoke design?
